This is a print finishing process in which the surface is coated with a glossy UV varnish containing gloss-enhancing agents.
Gloss varnish can be applied to the entire surface or to selected areas (overall or spot varnishing). Gloss varnish protects the print and gives it a high-gloss finish, bringing the colours to life and making them more saturated. We offer varnishes with varying levels of gloss, with or without slip additives; those without can be written on and foil embossed.
Technologia
At Pasja, gloss UV varnish is applied using modern automatic and semi-automatic screen printing technology. This enables excellent precision and allows the final effect to be tailored to the Customer’s exacting requirements. The quality of the gloss also depends on the thickness of the UV varnish layer. A good gloss is generally achieved with a varnish layer of around 4 g/m2; we can apply up to 10 g/m2, delivering exceptional effects and the highest quality currently available.
